Plan B

Before the Semester Begins...

Sign up for courses with your alternate school, you must complete at least 9 credits.

We recommend that you take the following courses during the fall depending on your math, reading, and writing placement scores:

  • Developmental Math
  • Developmental Reading
  • Developmental English/Writing
  • Other Introductory Courses:  The Shippensburg University website has course equivalency lists created to assist you in completing your own tentative transcript evaluation. Simply click on the PDF link to the right of the college from which you plan to transfer and then locate your college's course number and title to find that courses equivalent at Shippensburg.

Transfer your placement scores from Ship—or—take the placement test with your alternate school.

You may give the school you plan to attend a copy of the testing scores you received the day of testing.  If the school will not accept this form, you may visit the placement testing website at http://webspace.ship.edu/testing/.  Click on transcript request on the left hand side of the screen.  Fill out the provided form and return to the Placement Office.  The Placement Office will in turn provide your school with your testing scores.

REMEMBER:  it is very likely you will have to take the placement test with your alternate school.  Pay close attention to their placement testing dates.  Missing a testing date could prevent you from registering for courses with your alternate school, which in turn could postpone your enrollment an entire semester!

Transfer your course information from the summer program to your alternate school.

There are three ways you can request your transcript:

  • You may print the Transcript Request From or mail a letter to the Registrar’s office requesting that your transcript be sent or prepare for pick up.
  • You may fax a written request.
  • You may visit the Registrar’s Office and complete a transcript request form.

All transcript requests must be done in writing and through the Registrar’s Office.  The ASP staff can not send transcripts for you.  Make sure you visit the Requesting Transcript link for more detailed information on requesting transcripts.

Contact financial aid to transfer your information.
