Welcome New Students!

You may not realize it, but we hope you do.  You have already made one of the best choices of your lives. That is to go to college.  It is the single most important decision that will impact your future and career.  We hope that you are psyched for coming to Shippensburg to realize your committment to making that all important step toward you college career.  Whether you are coming directly from high school, coming back to college after years of life experience, or are transferring from another college or university, we hope you will take advantage of every opportunity made available to you during the Fall Welcome Week and that you will participate fully in all of the programs designed for your benefit as part of the Ship Connect program.  This year we have all seen how important it has been to have choices and to be able to use our voices to communicate honestly, openly and completely with others.  Across the world, other world citizens do not have these rights as their governments quench their voice.  Whether in Eqypt, Yemen, Libya, or elsewhere many people are willing to die for the opportunity to use their voice to ensure democracy and equality.  Although we take it for granted everyday, we hope that you too will stand up, standout and make the CHOICE to USE YOUR VOICE so you can make the most of your college experience.

So take some time, explore our website, and take care of any "to do list" items as they become available.  Keep appraised of the deadlines for registering for Orientation and for Academic Day (Ship Connects) Programs.  Please also check out the Question and Answer sections available via the links below.  If you don't see an answer to your question there, please take a moment and send an email.  We will respond to your question and post a reply for the benefit of your colleagues and yourself.  Anyway, we can't wait to see you on August 27, 2011!
