Alumni Admissions Program Representative

Represent Shippensburg at local college fairs; Participate in on-campus Open Houses; or Present a scholarship to an incoming SU student at your local high school. Training is provided.

Alumni Career Services

Mentoring Network: Sign up with the online mentoring network to allow students and alumni to contact you via e-mail for an informational interview about your career path. Offer advice at your convenience.

Recruit SHIP Seniors and Graduates: Is your place of employment hiring for entry level positions or experience necessary positions? List the positions with us and we will advertise them to the applicable audience, either through the Alumni College Central website or through the Career & Community Development Center. Please describe the position and provide a contact name to Lorie Davis, Alumni Career Services or fax us at 717-477-4071.

Pathways to Success Workshop Series: Do you have an area of expertise you would like to present on? Does your place of employment have a large business/conference room? Volunteer to present at one of our Pathways to Success workshops, speak in a classroom, or volunteer your conference room or place of employment and host events at your worksite. Great publicity for your place of employment!

Internships: The job market is competitive and internships provide students with a leg up on the competition. If your place of work could provide a substabtive experience for a Shippensburg University intern, let us know. Contact Lorie Davis, Alumni Career Services or fax us at 717-477-4071.

Alumni Chapter Event Planning Groups

SHIP alumni gather to participate in many different regional events. Be a member of an alumni chapter event planning committee in your area and help coordinate all alumni gathering efforts in your community.

Join a committee to help plan one or two of our annual traditions. We are always looking for folks who want to join a committee to contribute new ideas for either the annual Homecoming celebration every fall or the annual Alumni Weekend held every weekend after Memorial Day. Contact us at
