Emerging Leaders Institute
The Emerging Leaders Institute is an eight-week program in the spring semester designed to introduce leadership topics to a cohort of new leaders. Membership is limited to First Year and Sophomore students. Topics include leadership styles, effective communication, values & ethics, multicultural leadership, and more! Be apart of the second cohort of Emerging Leaders at Shippensburg University!

Where does Emerging Leaders meet?
Location to be determined each semester.
What are the qualifications?
Membership is limited to First Year/Freshman or Sophomore students. All interested students must complete the attached application in order to be considered for membership in this year's cohort.
When will I be notified if I am accepted?
You will be notified within a week after applications are due.
Do I have to attend all the sessions?
Attendance at all of the sessions is vital to successfully completing the Emerging Leaders Institute. As a result, all members of the institute are expected to attend all sessions.
How will completion of the Emerging Leaders Institute benefit me?
The institute will provide you with training & resources for future leadership positions on campus, network with campus community members, and can enhance your resume. Everyone who successfully completes the institute will be certified as a student leader and be recognized at the Campus Life Awards Program at the end of the spring semester.
