Workshops are available through the Career Development Center. In addition, professional staff are available to facilitate career-related workshops for classes, as well as student clubs/organizations. Presenting Yourself in Person

Step 1

The Interview Workshop is designed to help you...

  • Become aware of the basic structure of a professional job interview
  • Get useful tips on effective verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Learn the do's and don'ts of the formal interview process
  • Discover what employers are looking for in prospective employees

In addition, you will receive valuable handouts that include questions typically asked during the interview process.

Interviewing tips/strategies

Step 2

After completing the Interview Workshop you may participate in a private, recorded "mock" interview in order to... 

  • Practice and develop the skills learned in the interview workshop
  • Get an idea of what employers might ask you during an interview
  • Learn the techniques necessary for a successful interview

Each session is recorded, evaluated, and reviewed in order to ensure you receive the maximum benefit from completing a mock interview.  Contact the Career Center at 717-477-1484 for more information on the Mock Interview program.
