The Newman Association
The Newman Association is the campus student-run organization of Catholic Campus Ministry. The purpose of the Newman Association is:
- To provide an environment in which the Catholics of the SU community can practice their faith through religious activities.
- To form unity through social activities so that intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth may follow.
- To serve its members and others in the community by providing various programs.
- To support Catholic Campus Ministry as students on campus.
The Leadership Team is a group of student leaders who plan and direct activities sponsored by the Newman Association and Catholic Campus Ministry. This is an excellent way to get involved and show off or develop your leadership skills. All are welcome! |

Parish and community outreach ministries have proven to be a benefit to students when making choices for future plans and, for completing resumes. They fulfill our Christian obligation to know, love and serve God in this world plus, they are ways to better understand the Seven Principals of Catholic Social Teaching to which we are called. These themes from Catholic Social Teaching are about building a just society and living lives of holiness amidst the challenges of modern society.
