The Community Drug Take Back And Safe Disposal Day is sponsored by the Office of Connection Drug and Alcohol Services. We are always looking to partner with neighboring university, community, law enforcement partners to ensure that these controlled substances get off of the street.

Combating Use

The Connection - Drug and Alcohol Services Office worked with Chartwell Dining Services at Shippensburg University and purchased tons of fresh fruit, granola bars, and bottled water to offer students healthy alternatives to prescription pills and other drugs that may be misused during a highly stressful time of the year.

Safe Partying

The Office of Connection Drug and Alcohol Services partnered with the Office of Housing and Residence Life to offer students a realistic experience of the dangers of partying.

The overall purpose of session: Decrease high risk drinking incidents | Decrease first year alcohol related offenses | Increase education about alcohol poisoning | Increase students ability to learn and use resistance strategies.
