Browser Information for Desire2Learn

Desire2Learn requires your browser to have Java & Cookies enabled.  Printing Desire2Learn pages can be challenging as Desire2Learn is based on frames. To ensure that you are printing the desired information click within the area you want to print before sending it to the printer.  The Desire2Learn screen will general refresh automatically to reflect recent changes. If the screen does not update to reflect the changes, you can refresh/reload manually.

This page contains the list of recommended systems and web browsers for use with Desire2Learn.  Please note that the information below is from the software vendor.  Newer versions of the listed browsers may or may not work properly with Desire2Learn in certain cases, but there should be no expectation that they do. We report any problems to Desire2Learn for newer browsers, such as Safari 4, and Chrome.

Desire2Learn is no longer supporting Netscape or Mozilla.

Recommended Settings

  1. Make sure that the browser is set to accept cookies (from both 1st party and 3rd party).
  2. Javascript must be enabled.  

The following software should be installed for full functionality with Desire2Learn

  • Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required for the Equation Editor. JRE v.1.4.2.x, JRE 1.5.x, JRE 1.6.x (through update 9) are supported
  • (JRE 1.6.x is recommended).
