Who can Register

Current students, visiting students, and others, are invited to register for online courses. Undergraduate students must have a minimum of twelve (12) credits and a 2.0 GPA prior to registering for an online course. A previously failed course may not be repeated through an online course.

Students can schedule no more than 2 courses in online and/or face-to-face format per Summer Term.  Students may schedule a maximum of eighteen credits during the entire summer.  (Note: Students can schedule no more than one face-to-face course for Summer Term 3 since it is only 3 weeks in duration.)

Students are permitted to take only two online courses during the winter term.

When to Register

Current Shippensburg University students should consult with their advisor about summer online course selections, but do not have to wait until their scheduled appointment times to register for online courses.  Students will not be permitted to register for an online class if there is a hold on their account due to parking tickets, delinquent fees, or library fines.  (Academic holds will not block a student's registration for online courses.)

Where to Register

Students or prospective students must register online through Extended Studies.  Follow the "Get Ready, Get Set, Go" links.

What Are the Payment Options

Payment is due in our office by the date listed above. You will NOT receive a bill. If the Office of Extended Studies has not received your payment by the deadline, you will be dropped from the course.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** REGARDING ON-LINE PAYMENTS

Effective July 2, 2009 – Shippensburg University will no longer accept credit cards directly (in person, through the mail or over the phone) for payment of tuition accounts. Students who wish to continue to pay with credit cards will have the ability to do so electronically through our contracted 3rd party processor, Official Payments Corporation.

Those students who have not yet paid their summer bills by the end of June and wish to pay by credit card may visit our website in July and pay online through ShipPay via the Student Information System to be connected to Official Payments. There will be a charge of 2.5% for the use of a credit card, and payment can be made with MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Electronic check will also be an option at no charge.

Paying online remains the fastest, most efficient way to pay your bill. Save paper and the cost of a postage stamp by paying online with electronic check at no additional cost!

Additional information regarding on line payments may be viewed at Student Accounts

Credit Card & E-Check:

To pay via credit card, you can pay online at time of registration or go online to the Student Information System and pay online before your course begins.
