Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan & Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan
BUDGET CONTROL ACT OF 2011 AND THE CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2012 bring changes to the Federal Direct Loan program. Please read here.
The Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan is available for parents of undergraduate students. A parent may borrow up to the cost of attendance less any other financial aid received.
The Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan is available for graduate students. A graduate student may borrow up to the cost of attendance less any other financial aid received.
Federal Direct Parent and Graduate PLUS Loans will be added to a student's financial aid package once the financical aid office receives confirmation of a completed application. If a borrower requests the maximum Direct PLUS Loan amount for which they are eligible, the PLUS loan will be packaged up to the Cost of Education (less any other financial aid), not the actual amount billed.
