The 2018/2019 FAFSA is now available to file!!!

Beginning October 1st, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available to be filed for the 2018/19 school year. The FAFSA requires you to file with 2016 income information for you and your parent (for dependent students). If you’d like to make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office for assistance with filing, please do so using the Student Success Collaborative (SSC). Please be sure to have your FSA ID and password and your parent’s FSA ID and password when you come to the meeting. Please call the Financial Aid office with any questions you may have – 717-477-1131.

IRS Data Retrieval Tool

The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is currently suspended for the 17-18 aid year. This option is now available for the 2018/2019 aid year.

As of April 24, 2017 we can accept SIGNED taxpayer copies of Federal tax returns and Certification of Non-filing form for the 17-18 aid year.

Where can I get more information about—and help with—the FAFSA?

Visit StudentAid.gov/fafsa ; and remember, as you fill out your FAFSA at fafsa.gov , you can refer to help text for every question and (during certain times of day) chat online with a customer service representative. Or contact SHIP’s Financial Aid office at finaid@ship.edu or 717-477-1131.

Federal Perkins Loan Program to end September 30, 2017

Please be sure outstanding Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note requirements for Federal Perkins Loan are completed prior to September 30, 2017. Perkins loans not able to be disbursed by this date will be cancelled in accordance with federal regulation.
