General Education Council

The purpose of the General Education Council (GEC) is to oversee the overall general education program at Shippensburg University, which includes coordination and assessment of the program. The responsibilities of the Council include initiating and reviewing curriculum and policy changes regarding general education, making recommendations regarding general education to the University Curriculum Committee, and coordinating assessment efforts with departments involved in offering general education coursework.
