Profile

I am currently a Senior Associate and Project Manager with the JMT Technology Group, an operating division of Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson, Inc., a consulting firm headquartered in Sparks (Baltimore County) Maryland.   In my current position, I am responsible for all aspects of project management related to the application of geospatial and related technologies in developing and delivering solutions to our clients.  My duties include project scope and budget formulation and management, technical supervision and oversight, client relations, and product quality and delivery.

Prior to my current position, I spent over 15 years as a manager and analyst, providing geographic information systems (GIS) consulting services to a variety of public and private organizations.  Some sample projects include: the design, development and implementation of a water and wastewater GIS for the City of Baltimore Department of Public Works; the development of a regional transportation GIS data model for the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission which was recognized through an award from the Consulting Engineering Council; and the utilization of GIS to assess and quantify environmental impacts of major transportation projects including highway expansion and realignments and, specifically, a study identifying suitable corridors for a Magnetic Levitation (MAGLEV) train connecting the cities of Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

I see my role as an adjunct instructor in GIS as an opportunity to not only teach the application, concepts, and tools of GIS, but to also share the many “real-life” lessons I have a learned in the nearly 20 years that I have been working in the GIS field.
