PartnerSHIP

We look forward to your partnership with us as you seek to further your education and expand your dreams.  Getting your master's degree from SHIP will enable you to access many of our Ship partners in businesses, governmental agencies, and school districts. We have strong relationships with these partners because of our quality master's education, and they are waiting to meet you.

StewardSHIP

Because of its commitment to stewardship, Shippensburg has been providing programming to meet the needs of the region since it was founded in 1871. We continue to assess the region's needs for new programming and to respond to those needs. For example, we recently added the Master of Social Work, in partnership with Millersville University. We also seek to bring our educational experience to other geographic areas. In addition to our programming in Harrisburg at the Dixon University Center, we have also brought programs to Hanover and New Oxford.  Our vow of stewardship is to continue to bring quality programming to the region.

ScholarSHIP

The mission of the graduate school is to provide master's, post-baccalaureate and post-master's programs that encourage intellectual excellence, research, and scholarship while emphasizing the development of applicable professional skills. We strive to create an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity, academic freedom, diversity, independent scholarship, and creative investigation for our students.

InternSHIP

One of the strengths of our master's programs is the hands-on experience you receive in the process of getting your degree.  Programs accomplish this with a graduate internship experience, a field-service placement, a project or thesis.  These experiences allow you to apply the higher-level knowledge and skills you have learned in the classroom to real-life situations in businesses, governmental agencies, and school districts.

FriendSHIP

The friendships created at Shippensburg are numerous and long lasting.  Shippensburg enjoys a reputation of having committed alumni who speak fondly about their SHIP family. Many keep in touch with their friends and their alma mater.
