Students in the news:

  •  Dr. Eveline Lang and graduating senior Lindsey Gingrich presented "Persistent Erasures: Representations of Marginalized Groups in Discourse on Gender and Violence" on a panel on "Race and Media" at the Women's Studies Conference on Gender and Violence at Dickenson College, Carlisle, PA, March 26, 2011. 
  • SU junior, Neely Spence, teaches elementary school children the basics of track and field through her RUN club.    More Information 
  • HCS Senior, Allison Eiseman, won first place in the 2011 Pennsylvania Communication Association's writing competition with her paper from Dr. Eveline Lang's Popular Culture and Gender Construction course. Allison's paper is entitled: "A Semiotic Analysis of Disability and Discrimination in House and ER TV Shows". She will present her paper at the Pennsylvania Communication Association's October convention at Westminster University.
