About the Class
The Honors Program requires each student to do a capstone project of some sort. The Honors Colloquium is one such choice for the students to fulfill their requirement in the fall semester in order to graduate in the Honors Program. The students in the Colloquium come from a variety of interdisciplinary majors and all come together to create a service-learning project in order to make their mark on the local community and on an international community. The project will have to be sustainable for Honors students to carry on in years to come.
This year the class will be creating an educational curriculum for childcare centers in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and hopes to make a lasting impression on the children in this community. For more information on our project, visit our About the Project page.
