Mclean Hall

Traditional residence halls are available to select as a preference in the MyHousing area of the myShip portal. Due to overall housing occupancy and availability, traditional housing may not be available or guaranteed. It's not uncommon that your roommate and others living on your hall become the closest friends for life.

Single rooms in the tradtional hall may be requested by current students and incoming transfer students.  This option is not available to freshman as we recommend a individual bedroom suite for this type of housing.  Students can request a single by completing the request form by semester.

After confirming your housing by signing the agreement and paying the deposit the Housing Office emails the passcode to RoomSync along with the housing instructions to you at the Ship email account.  The Housing Office uses RoomSync through Facebook so you can meet your future roommate. After locating your roommates you can go to the MyHousing portal in MyShip, Student, Ship Life to request your roommate and select a request a building.  The Housing Office will review demand for the traditional hall and place as many students in the hall as possible.

Students apply by completing the Housing Agreement and paying the $200 deposit.  Go to: MyShip, Student, Ship Life.  The agreement is on the right side of the page.  Note: Entering first-year and transfer students having earned fewer than 30 (between 1- 29) undergraduate college level credits are required to reside in university housing. Exceptions to this policy include those students who reside full-time within the home of their parents or legal guardians within 50 miles of campus, those who are 21 years of age or older, and/or those who are legally married.

You and your future roommate use the MyHousing Portal via MyShip to request a room in the traditional hall in the living preference tab.

Rooms start at $2,423 per student per semester in 2017-18 in traditional residence halls. For more information, please see the pages for individual halls.
