Welcome to the Desire2Learn Help Center

Please remember that like our previous course management system it will take between 24 to 48 hours for student names to migrate from the registrars system into the D2L system.

SPECIAL NOTE

Plagiarism Detection (Turnitin) can be found in the Dropbox area. Nowhere in D2L is Turnitin mentioned, however, clicking on the checkbox in the Dropbox area next to the words "Plagiarism Detection: Enable for this folder" as shown below in the graphic, will activate Turnitin.

Faculty Dropbox Instructions

Please visit the Dropbox area for instructions on setting up the Dropbox area and plagiarism detection.

Helping Your Students Understand the Dropbox and Plagiarism Detection

Students must use the Dropbox to turn their papers in for plagiarism detection, faculty cannot submit papers for students. Students should submit their work through the Dropbox folder that faculty create for the assignment in the Dropbox area.

Student instructions are available at:
http://www.ship.edu/IDDS/D2L_Student_Orientation/Plagiarism_Detection_Turnitin/ .
