  • ATTENTION: ALL Bb Organization Leaders/Owners - we need your help in identifying ACTIVE Bb orgs (Active need to be migrated to D2L) from INACTIVE & UNUSED Bb orgs (Unused will not be migrated to D2L).

Emails have gone out this week to owners of Blackboard Organizations which appear to be empty sites. If you have a Bb Organization that is not longer in use please email Donna Panzo and let her know if you want your Bb Organization transferred to D2L. Remember, only content will transfer not the participant interactions (i.e. interactions from the Discussion Board, Wikis, Blogs, Groups will not transfer). Please save a copy of any information you want to keep by following the instructions for "Preparing for Course Deletions", located on the IDDS website at http://www.ship.edu/idds. NOTE: The same instructions apply to Bb courses and to Bb organizations.

Copy of message sent to "Leaders/owners" of what appears to be an unused Bb Organization site:

You have been identified as a leader of a(n) organization(s) in Blackboard.

    Course ID:  <Bb Organization>
Course Description: <Bb Organization Title (Leaders Name/owner)

If you are not a leader in the organization(s) indicated above, please contact Donna at x3439.

As you know the deadline is soon approaching for the shutdown of the Blackboard servers (June, 2010). Your organization/course appears to have little or no content and/or interaction within the organization/course. Do you want the organization/course transferred or may it be deleted off the system. If deleted, all content will be gone for good.

If you choose to keep this organization/course, please email Donna at dmpanz@ship.edu.

If you would like this organization deleted, please follow the directions listed in the enclosed document to back-up those areas in your organization, and then complete this form.  If you need assistance, please contact Donna at x3439.

    Thank you,

    Donna
