Augmentation of Existing Technology for MBA program: GRH006
Webcams provide an entirely new method of delivery of course content to MBA students. Professors can deliver course information from anywhere, not just the videoconference classrooms.
Augmentation of Computer Lab for Lehman Library: ELL
The procurement of 9 additional workstations will allow students to use computers on the main floor of the library for helping them with their learning outcomes and provide additional access to library resources.
Augmentation of Computer Lab for English department: DHC002
The addition of Adobe Dreamweaver software to the computers in the English lab for student use completing course work.
NutriBase software/Cholestech equipment for Exercise Science: HG105
This equipment is used to support laboratory experiences that are required of all exercise science majors. The Cholestech equipment is also used for student research projects.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for Computer Technologies Center: MCT060
This setup provides lab-like software to students over the Internet from remote locations. This system helps students access software that is on campus that they do not have available to them on their own computers. It can also help alleviate overcrowding in the labs.
Final Cut Server for Communications/Journalism: MCT060
Students are able to use state of the art digital video editing software to access their stored projects from anywhere on or off campus. It also allows for student collaboration on projects. Students are able to work in the same professional environment in which they will enter upon graduation.
Personal Response System for Mathematics: MCT265
Provide students with access to Personal Response Systems that allow for interaction by students in the classroom setting. Students can respond to questions asked by use of hand held “clickers” that submit their answer to the question and keep track of responses.
Cameras/TV/Transcription device for Counseling: SPH200, SPH110
Ceiling mounted audio/video recorders in the counseling booths in Shippen Hall. The TV/DVD units allow students to analyze, critique and evaluate their recorded counseling sessions.
Laptops for MBA program: GRH006
These laptops provide a portable technology solution for students in the MBA program. Allowing for significant upgrade of classroom capabilities/technology to support the MBA program at its remote location in Hanover, PA.
OCLC/World Cat/First Search subscription for Lehman Library: ELL
Allows for students to access library holdings from the Internet. Gives them alternative resources to obtain the materials needed.
Cameras/Mics/Codec renewal for Media Services: GRH006
Updated technology in the GRH 006 video conferencing room, as well as improved video conferencing quality by adding H.239 people and content codec.
Laptop cart for Lehman Library and Academic Programs & Services: ELL135
These additional laptops and laptop cart are needed for usage during peak demand, providing a portable technology solution for students at the Learning Center. The cart provides security and charging for the laptops when not in use. It also allows for ease of transportation of the laptops. Existing machines are usually at 85-100% usage. Additional tutors needed to meet peak demand needed more laptops for working with students.
Enhancement of Geography software for Geography: SRH001, SRH005
Business analyst is a product that combines the analytical capabilities of GIS with business, demographic and consumer data. ERDAS is a program used in conjunction with remote sensing and imaging courses. ESRI CITYGreen is a software extension that incorporates a suite of models to quantify ecosystem services for an area. The addition of this software helps students use industry standard tools.
Digital Imager/white screen for Biology: FSC132
This imaging system is essential for student-based research. Students are able to receive valuable hands on experience with commonly used biochemical and molecular techniques. The images generated by the system are necessary for proper recording of experimental data.

Smart technology installed in the classroom for visual and audio presentation enhancement for classroom use by students in the History department. Includes the ability to tie DVD, Internet, and Computer audio/visual aids together into one management console for presentation of course materials. System includes the presentation unit, a computer, data projector, DVD/VCR, document camera and supporting switching equipment. DHC 151 will be used for a variety of specialized programs that enhance student-learning outcomes.

Provides updated carts and other equipment required by the Smart Carts for enhancement of the Smart Classrooms in a number of rooms in the Human Communications department. Project originally included equipment in DHC302, 310, and 314, but on renewal equipment was moved to DHC312, 310, and 308 to accommodate student needs.

Provides updated Audio/Video and other equipment required by the Smart Carts for enhancement of the Smart Classrooms for the Psychology department.
Digital Microscopes with Portable Carts for Biology: FSC142
This setup allows for two portable workstations to run software for analyzing data from the digital microscopes, which can be easily transported to various classrooms/labs in the Biology department, providing the students with more opportunity to utilize the microscopes.

Originally this was two projects, but one asked to have it's renewal pushed off by one year, and all rooms were then merged into one tech fee project.

10 workstations and relevant software for the Communications/Journalism department’s newspaper The Slate. This equipment enables students working for The Slate to develop news content for publishing.
Distance Education Classroom for College of Education: SPH140
Smart Classroom and videoconference equipment in the classroom provides distance education to students of the College of Education. The system provides connections to satellite Shippensburg University sites for students in which distance to the main campus is problematic.
Microscopy/Imaging lab/Slow scan for Biology: FSC020
Hardware and software for microscopic digital image handling, analysis, and printing with the purpose of expanding research opportunities for biology students.

Art Museum Image Consortium subscription which enables all SU students to access an extensive educational database of many museums collections of art and multimedia. The subscription will be managed online thru the library.

Encompass and LinkFinder software which allows student patrons to search across a variety of information resources resulting in better search results for research.

3D scanner for Computer Science: MCT165
Provides students of the Computer Science department with technology that will allow for 3D scanning of real-world objects. The data can be exported into various graphic design programs for further review and manipulation.
Presentation stations and 3D projection for Chemistry
Provides visualization of chemistry from the simplest organic molecule to large complex bio-molecules such as DNA. The 3-D visualization system greatly enhances chemistry lectures by enabling students to view molecules and they naturally occur three dimensionally.
Robotics Lab/Handy Boards for Computer Science
Purchase of equipment specifically in support of course work involving computer software development for robotics.
