Swimming Schedule
GBLUES SWIM SCHEDULE
2011-2012
As part of the Health and Wellness Curriculum of the Shippensburg Area School District, your child will be taking part in our swimming program. American Red Cross lessons are taught in grades K-8. Elementary students in grades 1-5 receive 2 classes of instruction. Kindergarten students receive 1 class of instruction.
For the safety of your children and the instructors, we do not permit any jewelry to be worn in the pool. If your child has any recent piercings at the time of swimming and they cannot remove the jewelry, they will not be permitted to swim. We appreciate your cooperation with this safety issue.
If for any reason your child is not permitted to swim for a medical reason, please send a note or get a medical excuse from the doctor.
Your child will be transported by district transportation from the elementary schools to the high school for the swimming program. Closer to the date of swimming, permission slips will come home for you to sign.
