Luhrs Swim Schedule 2011-2012

KINDERGARTEN:  12/13/2011, 12 to 2 p.m.

FIRST: 12/7 & 12/8/2011, 8:50 to 10:50 a.m.

SECOND: 12/7 & 12/8/2011, 12 to 2 p.m.   

THIRD: 12/9 & 12/12/2011, 8:50 to 10:50 a.m.

FOURTH: 12/9 & 12/12/2011, 12 to 2 p.m.

FIFTH: 12/13 & 12/14/2011, 8:50 to 10:50 a.m.

As part of the Health and Wellness Curriculum of the Shippensburg Area School District, your child will be taking part in our swimming program.  American Red Cross lessons are taught in grades K-8.  Elementary students in grades 1-5 receive up to 5 classes of instruction.  Kindergarten students receive up to 2 classes.  Middle School and High School students receive 3 weeks and come during their regular Health and Wellness Class.

For the safety of your children and the instructors, we do not permit any jewelry to be worn in the pool.  If your child has any recent piercings at the time of swimming and they cannot remove the jewelry, they will not be permitted to swim.  We appreciate your cooperation with this safety issue.

If for any reason your child is not permitted to swim for a medical reason, please send a note or get a medical excuse from the doctor.

Your child will be transported by district transportation from the elementary schools to the high school for the swimming program.  Students at the middle school and high school will not be transported.  Your signature below indicates that you are giving permission for your child to be transported to the high school for this purpose.
