Find Books

Books contain in depth information about topics. While not usually as current as articles, the information is more comprehensive and goes into greater detail when explaining how disparate pieces of information fit together.

Library Items

  • Use the Library Catalog to find books available at Shippensburg Univeristy. Search by Keyword, Title, Author, or Subject and limit your search by date published, format, location, language, and more.
  • Use EZ-Borrow if the library does not have a book you want. Search academic library catalogs around Pennsylvania by Title, Author, Subject or Keyword. When you find a book you want, place a request and it will arrive in ~3 business days.
  • Use WorldCat to see if there is a library that owns a specific title. Search by Keyword, Title, Author, or Subject and receive a distance-sorted list of libraries which own the item.
  • Request items via ILLiad if the Library Catalog and EZ-Borrow do not list the item you want. When placing a request, verify all information about the book (Amazon is an easy way to check) and include all required information (including ISBN). The requested item will arrive in 3-10 business days, depending on the lending library.
