MCT 158

The MCT 158 microcomputer lab is a public lab that is available to all Shippensburg University students, faculty and staff. The lab is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is frequently staffed by trained lab attendants. It is housed on the second floor of the Math & Computing Technologies Center, centrally located on campus.

MCT 158 is available for reservations for classes and training workshops and contains an instructor's station and projector.

All of the PCs in MCT 158 are equipped with the same set of software, as outlined below. The PCs include some specialized software used by the Computer Science Department and the Math Department.

	Computer Science Software Virtual image of all available Computer Science software, including Eclipse.
	Google Earth 5.0 Used to view maps and sattelite imagery of the Earth.
	Maple 13 Used for advanced mathematical computation and modeling.
	Mathematica 7 Used to perform advanced computation, modeling, simulation, visualization, etc.
	MiKTeX 2.7 Used for the creation and editing of books and documents containing mathematics.
	SAP GUI 7.10 Used for training to access PASSHE's development and production database systems.
	Geometer's Sketchpad 4.7 Used to construct geometric objects, figures, models and graphics.
	PASW Modeler 13 Used for data mining and exploration, as well as model building.
