German Programs

Learning German helps you communicate more effectively, providing more opportunities in a diverse job market.

Shippensburg University’s Department of Global Languages and Cultures offers two German programs:

  • German Studies Minor - The focus of the German Studies Minor is both on the exposure to the language to gain proficiency and on knowledge of the historical, cultural, and political background of Germany.
  • German Certificate - A German Certificate can help your resume stand out and it only requires 12 credits.
