Employees honored for contributions and years of service

The university recently honored its employees for their achievements and years of service, including presentation of the Employee Recognition Award.

Juan Williams to speak at scholarship benefit program

Juan Williams, acclaimed author and political analyst, is guest speaker Feb. 19 at Shippensburg University's annual Helping Our People Excel (H.O.P.E.) Diversity Scholarship benefit program. The annual program commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday and raises funds for the scholarship, formerly called the Gifted Minority Scholarship.

Monologues to be presented at university

The Vagina Monologues will be presented at 8 p.m. Feb. 12, 13 and 14 in Memorial Auditorium at Shippensburg University. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Peter Brown Lecture

Peter Brown, a well known historian and winner of the 2001 Distinguished Achievement Award for scholars in the humanities by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation will be giving a lecture at Shippensburg University this Thursday, February 12th at 7pm.

Shippensburg University is expanding its Valedictorian Board of Governors Scholarship so talented students in all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties have another reason to make the smart choice to attend Shippensburg.
