Trustees honor Gray for service

Shippensburg University Council of Trustees May 21 honored Christopher Gray for his two years of  service as the student representative on the council. Trustees unanimously approved a citation for Gray in recognition of his service. Gray is leaving the council following is graduation from the university May 8.

The citation reads:

    WHEREAS, Christopher Gray has served as a member of the Council of Trustees of Shippensburg University for two years; and

    WHEREAS, in fulfilling his responsibilities, he has upheld the trust and confidence placed in him by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; and

    WHEREAS, he has been especially effective in developing proper relations and understanding between the University and its programs and the public; and

    WHEREAS, he has been extremely supportive of the President of the University, administration, and faculty in their efforts to develop academic programs of quality and excellence; and

    WHEREAS, in his role as a member of the Council of Trustees, he has contributed immeasurably to the efficient and effective management of the University;

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the University and the Council of Trustees do hereby recognize with great appreciation the leadership, guidance, support, and personal commitment that Christopher Gray has made to the betterment of Shippensburg University and wish him heartfelt thanks for a job well done.
