Students plan second annual Ship World Party

Students in Shippensburg University’s social work department will host the Second Annual Ship World Party: A Celebration of Diversity Nov. 2.

The free event, sponsored with the International Education Week Committee and part of International Education Week, will provide visitors the chance to learn about a number of countries including Sweden, Japan, Haiti, and Brazil. It is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Cora I. Grove Spiritual Center adjacent to campus.

The event is an opportunity to learn about the culture and customs of other nations. It will include a variety of activities including food and music from the various nations.

The students are also raising funds through a silent auction to benefit Respite Care which services families with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals living in the Shippensburg area.
