The annual event on campus is at 7 p.m. in Orndorff Theatre in the Ceddia Union Building. It will feature a showing of the documentary Wake Up Darkness hosted by its filmmaker, Israel Kacyvenski. He addresses issues of science and religion through a combination of his personal background coupled with interviews with prominent scientists, philosophers and theologians. Kacyvenski will answer questions as part of the presentation.

On Oct. 2, Dr. Joseph Shane, chair of the university’s chemistry department and founder of the forum, will give a presentation at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on the square in Carlisle. The presentation is titled Beyond Evolution: An Introduction to the Historical Interactions Between Science and Religion. He developed his presentation and the forum after the Kitzmiller v.
