University to host conference for teachers
Registration is still open for middle level teachers to participate in a conference May 20 at Shippensburg University to learn best teaching practices.
The program is for teachers in grades four to eight and will include keynote speakers Dr. Michael Muir and Dottie Bollinger. Muir will talk on technology and learning, and Bollinger will discuss laws related to electronic devises as well as social media.
A variety of presentations are planned and include how to provide middle level students with literacy skills, how brain research can be used to develop effective instructional strategies for middle level students, how parents, students, and educators identify and define bullying behavior.
