Grove College earns national ranking for online program
Shippensburg University’s John L. Grove College of Business has earned another national honor.
U.S. News & World Report ranks Grove College 131st in the nation, according to its recently released 2014 "Best Online Business Programs" rankings. Shippensburg is tied with six other institutions for the ranking.
According to the publication’s website, this is the third year for the rankings and nearly 1,000 distance education programs completed a survey as part of the process. The publication said the methodologies used for the rankings changed significantly to reflect additional data and statistical processes used to do the calculations. According to the publication, all rankings include peer review data based on schools’ evaluations of each other. The rankings include student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
In September, Grove College was again recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Undergraduate Business Programs” category. The college was ranked 342nd out of 681 undergraduate programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The ranking was determined in a survey last spring of deans and senior faculty at all AACSB accredited undergraduate business programs.
