Library to host display by local artist

Ezra Lehman Memorial Library at Shippensburg University will host a display of work by local artist Roberta Rettew Iula from Feb. 17 to March 7.

The display, “Colors by Roberta,” is a collection of oil and pastel paints from three series: Shippensburg Fantasy, Gardens in the Square and Barns/Silo. It will be in the main gallery in the library.

An artist reception is 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 in the gallery and is open to the public, as is the display.

Iula has a strong landscape design/horticultural background. Several of her residential and commercial landscape designs are in Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Her love of landscape, nature, architecture, and plants are the main motifs for her paintings.
