National publication ranks university’s graduate program

A national publication has ranked the professional MBA program in the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University among the nation’s best.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Graduate Schools lists the part-time program as number 208 in the nation out of more than 450 business schools in its survey. Only those programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International were part of the survey.

Shippensburg program is the only one in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to earn a ranking. This the first time that this specific MBA program has made the list, though the undergraduate business program is consistently ranked by U.S. News as among the best. The online MBA was also ranked highly by U.S. News & World Report in a recent report.

The ranking is based on five factors: average peer assessment score; the average GMAT score and average GRE quantitative and verbal scores of part-time MBA students entering in Fall 2013; their average undergraduate GPA; work experience; and the percentage of the business school’s Fall 2013 MBA enrollment that is part-time.
