Ship’s Dr. Odhiambo to discuss debut novel

Eucabeth1Dr. Eucabeth Odhiambo, professor of teacher education, will discuss her debut novel, “Auma’s Long Run,” at Ship on Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Old Main 206.

Released on Sept. 1, 2017, Odhiambo’s novel is inspired by her own experiences growing up in a Luo village in Kenya and her studies of HIV/AIDS education in Kenyan schools. Her talk will focus on how she became a middle grade novelist, her inspirations for the story and how she hopes her novel impacts both adults and children.

A book signing will take place following the program.
