Director's Welcome

Hello students! With midterms and class scheduling on the horizon, we've already begun our planning process to meet our newest prospective students. With our Summer 2014 Orientation Team recently selected, we're excited about the opportunity to get to know a new class of students. That being said, please take the time to review the summer schedule and steps to take in order to prepare yourself for Orientation. Feel free to call our office or email us if you have any questions.

Advice for First Year Students

Get involved, step outside your comfort zone. Also, get to know faculty and staff because they will help assist you during this 4-5 yr process and prove to be reliable mentors.

Current Involvement

Currently I am the graduate assistant for Underrepresented Students in admissions; I am the Advisor for ELITE fashion geeks an organization I founded as a freshmen while in undergrad. I am also a Graduate liaison for Multicultural Students Affairs and the various organizations that fall under that umbrella. I also serve as a graduate board member for the Fredrick Douglass Institute.

Undergrad Involvement

I served as the President for ELITE fashion geeks for 4 years, I was the Director for Harmonic Voices of Truth (HVT), I was the Multicultural Student Affairs Senator in the student senate, I was involved with club tennis for 4 years, I was an orientation leader, and I also served as a member of various organizations under the MSA umbrella.
