Director's Welcome

Hello students! With midterms and class scheduling on the horizon, we've already begun our planning process to meet our newest prospective students. With our Summer 2014 Orientation Team recently selected, we're excited about the opportunity to get to know a new class of students. That being said, please take the time to review the summer schedule and steps to take in order to prepare yourself for Orientation. Feel free to call our office or email us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Donna Gross, Director of New Student Orientation

Why Did You Choose Shippensburg?

My parents both graduated from Ship, which is why I started looking into the school in the beginning. But once I actually visited the campus and learned about it, I realized that it was the right fit for me. It also helped that the College of Business was accredited.

If you could give any one piece of advice to incoming students, what would it be?

I have two huge pieces of advice: 1. Get involved. Not only will you meet so many awesome people, but you'll feel a huge sense of pride in your school by getting involved. 2. Learn how to study. It's not like high school. If you're not the best studier, then ask for help. Find what works for you. You always want to stay on top of your school work.
