Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to Shippensburg University. Orientation programs are implemented throughout the year to our new students and their family members.  Prior to the beginning of each academic semester and in the summer, first year, transfer, commuter and resident students are required to register for and attend one of the mandatory sessions.   This is an important time for you and your family, who will have sessions to attend, as well.  Orientation can assist you and help ease your transition to campus life. In striving to promote the growth and development of all new students, we create learning experiences that will help you become aware of the abundant opportunities and resources that are available to you here. It is important that you become aware of the responsibilities of university life.  We help with those, as well.

Orientation will play an important role in your transition by: helping you identify with the university; building your self confidence; and helping ensure that you will succeed here. Orientation is a service that will be of immeasurable value to you and a lot of fun.
