WEDnetPA: Training Pennsylvania's Workers for a Growing Economy
Guaranteed Free Training
Improving the skill level and productivity of Pennsylvania’s workforce
To strengthen the business environment of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, WEDnetPA was developed to provide a training network responsive to employers’ workforce development needs. This network is called the Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania (WEDnetPA).
The WEDnetPA-managed Guaranteed Free Training (GFT) Program offers two training programs. These programs give qualified in-state businesses and out-of-state companies relocating to the economic-friendly business climate of Pennsylvania the opportunity to train new and existing employees.
The first program, Basic Skills Training, provides instruction in a variety of basic and entry-level skills. Information Technology Training, the second program, provides instruction in a variety of information technology and advanced applied manufacturing subjects.
The keystone of the GFT program is its ability to be responsive to the needs of Pennsylvania’s business community through a flexible and easy-to-use system. An important element of this system is that businesses determine their own training needs and can select among various WEDnetPA-approved training providers (the WEDnetPA partners, third-party providers or in-house staff) as well as delivery options (on-site, off-site, or online).
All it takes is a few simple steps to find out how to apply for Guaranteed Free Training
WEDnetPA limits the amount of training available to each company. Companies are limited to receiving funding for two consecutive fiscal years in a row OR three out of the past five fiscal years. Only WEDnetPA Partners are authorized to apply for funding on your behalf. For additional information on eligibility and program guidelines, visit www.wednetpa.com or contact CJ Ezell, WEDnetPA Partner, Shippensburg University at 717-477-1123 x3381 or email@example.com.
