Provost's Office

The Provost's Office provides leadership and maintains direct administrative responsibility for educational programming including curricular, budgetary and academic personnel matters, coordination of enrollment management and academic administrative services including recruiting, admissions, registrar functions, and institutional research and planning. The Provost's Office is responsible for the support of the University's governance system and for ensuring compliance with policies of the PASSHE and of accrediting agencies.

The Provost participates in the development and implementation of institutional policies through membership in the President's Executive Management Team and Cabinet and through membership in the University Forum and the Budget and Management Committee. The Provost is also a management representative and co-chair of the Faculty-Management committee, which is responsible for implementing the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement between the Commonwealth and the bargaining agent for faculty.

The Provost's Office works in close collaboration with the Vice President for Student Affairs on the integration of co-curricular activities with the academic mission; with the Vice President for Information Technologies, who has primary responsibility for Information Services, Library, and Multi-Media Services; and with the Vice President for Administration and Finance on budget and facilities issues.
