NEW! ROTC/Veterans Living/Learning Community

Let us know if you have more questions! Call or text (717)404-7092 or email ROTC@ship.edu

I'm Interested In ROTC. What class do I sign up for?

I'm in the National Guard (or Army Reserves). How does that work with ROTC?

Serving as an enlisted soldier in the National Guard (or Army Reserves) while taking ROTC is known as the Simultaneous Membership Program. Upon completing ROTC and graduating from college, these students are commissioned as officers and have options to continue serving in a reserve component (NG or USAR), or go onto Active Duty.

Where is ROTC located on campus?

ROTC staff and cadre offices are located on the second floor of Wright Hall. ROTC classrooms, as well as the Supply office, are on the basement level of Wright Hall.

The ROTC/Veterans Living-Learning Community (LLC) is on the second floor of Kieffer Hall.

Who can I talk to for more information?

The Shippensburg University ROTC Enrollment Manager can answer all your questions. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
Let us know if you are planning a campus visit--it may be possible for you to meet with the Professor of Military Science, tour the ROTC facilities, or talk to some of the instructors.
