WHY I CHOSE SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY
Who Am I?
My name is Jimmy Thren, I attended South Carroll High School (MD), and I am currently an undeclared freshman. I am involved in S.T.A.R.S, Intramural Sports, Colleges Against Cancer, Big Ship Little Ship, Christian Fellowship, Adventure Club, Circle K and a few others.
Why Did I Choose SHIP?
I chose Shippensburg University because I truly loved everything about the school. I am a person at Ship, not a number. I feel like it is a big family and everyone here is so friendly, and everything I have been a part of has been a rewarding experience in some way. The professors are great and are always here for help, the food is AMAZING, and the campus is beautiful. I love SHIP for everything it has to offer.
Life After Ship...
After SHIP, I plan on living in either Maryland or southern Pennsylvania. I am striving to be a High School Guidance Counselor. I also hope to coach baseball at the high school I work at. One of my biggest goals in life is to help whoever I can and I plan on doing a lot of volunteer work after college.
