A $10 per credit off campus support fee is charged for courses taken at specific off campus locations.

 

Room & Board 

If you plan to live on campus, you will be charged according to the number of weeks in the summer term.  If you are registered for a course that does not start and end on the standard 6-week term dates you may request special permission from the Housing Office to reside in the residence hall for the duration of your course.

If you plan to live on campus, print your online bill, add the appropriate fees (below) to the amount due on your bill, and mail the bill with payment to the Student Accounts Office.  If you prefer to pay online, simply send an email to Student Accounts at studentaccts@ship.edu and tell us you are including housing and meals with your payment.

Housing for Summer A will be in Stone Ridge Commons. Meal plans are optional for Stone Ridge housing.

Summer  B
Housing for Summer B will be in Kieffer Hall. Students will be assigned to B units. If B units reach maximum capacity, students will be assigned to C units.  A meal plan is required for Kieffer Hall housing.

For housing and meal charges, you should determine which meal plan you prefer and then add the Full Term (6-week) cost to your bill.  

If you are registered for a course that does not start and end on the standard 6-week term dates, and you plan to reside on campus for the duration of the course, you should calculate the room and meal rate according to the number of weeks you will be on campus (= per week charge * number of weeks in the course length).  Add this amount to your summer bill.  Be sure to contact the Housing Office to request permission to reside on campus for any length of time other than the standard 6-week term.

The Admiral Meal is not available during the summer terms and the 10 Meal Plan can be purchased by both on campus and off campus students.

Refund Policy for Dropped Courses

Students are not charged for any courses dropped during the "drop period" at the start of each Summer term or part of Summer term. After the last date of the drop period, NO REFUNDS will be given for any dropped or withdrawn courses. Charges will not be reduced.

  • Summer A (Full Term) – last day to drop for 100% refund - 5/20
  • Summer B (Full Term) – last day to drop for 100% refund – 7/1

These dates may not apply to Extended Studies courses or courses that do not begin on the first scheduled date of each summer term.

Refund Policy for Summer Term Withdrawals

To completely withdraw from Summer 2015 classes, you must complete a Shippensburg University Withdraw Request Form at  http://www.ship.edu/PCDE/Withdrawal_Request_Form/.  Please follow the directions at the top of the form.

Technology tuition fee, advance deposits, orientation fee, common damage fee, field placement fee and off campus support fees are non-refundable.

Refund Policy for Summer 2015 A and B Courses in Varying Parts of Term

(does NOT apply to course withdrawals, only full Summer term withdrawals i.e. this only pertains to withdrawals from all courses in the applicable Summer term)
