* Term III room and food service rates are less because the term is 3 weeks. Terms IV and V are 5 weeks. The per week rate for each summer term is the same. If housing dates do not fall within the 3 or 5 week period, housing and meals will be billed per week.
Scheduling for summer sessions will be available until the billing date listed for that term. After the dates listed, you may still register for that summer session through the Registrar's Office, Old Main 110 or by calling (717) 477-1136. However, you must submit payment at the time you schedule the classes. If you schedule classes for a summer session and do not pay by the due date on the bill, your schedule will be canceled.
Refund Policy for Dropped Courses
Students are not charged for any courses dropped during the "drop period" at the start of each term. After the last date of the drop period, NO REFUNDS will be given for any dropped or withdrawn courses. Charges will not be reduced.
Term III – last day to drop for 100% refund - 5/16
Term IV – last day to drop for 100% refund – 6/7
Term V – last day to drop for 100% refund – 7/12
These dates may not apply to Extended Studies courses or courses that do not begin on the first scheduled date of each summer term.
Refund Policy for Summer Term Withdrawals
A student must officially withdraw from the university by contacting his/her academic dean's office. Those who stop attending class and do not notify the dean's office will not receive a reduction of charges. The date that a student notifies the dean's office of his/her intent to withdraw becomes the official date of withdrawal for calculating adjusted charges and financial aid.
The following refund schedule applies to withdrawal from the university for Summer 2011:
