The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requires a professional educator to complete six (6) credits every five year period beginning July 1, 2000 to maintain an active certificate. Please note that PDE requires we only submit 6 college credits, which is all that’s needed to fulfill the requirements. We will submit the following information to PDE

(Do not list credits earned prior to January 1, 2000)

NOTE: If you are a Millersville University Ed.D. student requesting Shippensburg University submit Act 45 PIL applicable courses taken through Shippensburg but recorded on your Millersville University transcript, you will need to submit your official Millersville transcript to Shippensburg University, Registrar’s Office, ATTN: ACT 45 PIL Submissions, 1871 Old Main Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Procedures for ordering your Millersville University transcript are available at https://www.millersville.edu/registrar/gradesandrecords/transcripts.php. Please note "ACT 45 PIL" on your transcript request form in order for Millersville's Registrar's Office to waive your transcript fee.
