Why Study Social Science at Ship?

The social science concentration in economics at Shippensburg University is intended for students pursuing a broad based approach to understanding contemporary social issues. You are encouraged to consider studying a foreign language as a purposeful use of some of your free elective credits.

In addition to the 120 credits required to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, you are required to complete 10 - 11 credits in mathematics and statistics courses and 18 credits of allied fields courses to fulfill the requirements of this concentration.
