Health Insurance for International Students

random Student PhotosInternational students attending Shippensburg University must be able to document that they have health care coverage from a student health care insurance company. Although we do not require a specific company, we do believe it is necessary for your policy to
provide a minimum coverage that is comparable to an insurance plan available to all of our students. You may review the benefits and costs of this plan at: www.consolidatedhealthplan.com.

Should you decide to obtain health insurance from a different company, it is mandatory that your insurance provider forwards a letter of eligibility to the University prior to your enrollment in the next semester. We require that this letter be written in English and that it provides coverage amounts in U.S. dollars. In all subsequent semesters, it is mandatory that your insurance company document your continued eligibility and coverage. Failure
