From the moment you first set foot on campus, you’ll be in good hands as our admissions staff helps you navigate your way here. But support from Shippensburg University doesn’t taper off once you're enrolled in courses and it won't end even after you receive your degree.
We’re proud of our student-faculty ratio of 20-to-1, which means personalized attention from professors and relationships that will last the rest of your life. Our career center is a great resource that helps our students succeed too, even after they graduate.
During their first year, our students take part in the First Year Experience. This provides additional skills, support and mentorship during the transition into college.
We have over 100 academic programs to choose from, but we realize not all students know what they want to study right away. If that’s you, you can be admitted as an exploratory student. The Office for Exploratory Studies will provide you with the support and guidance you need while planning your future.
Ship offers distance and online learning to give students the flexibility they need to complete coursework and pursue programs, despite their time and travel constraints.
Our tuition is also 66% less than the average private college tuition, but just because we’re less expensive doesn’t mean we rest when it comes to looking for ways to assist our students financially. Ship awards $79 million annually in grants, scholarships, student employment and loans.
