What Will I Learn?
Human resource management encompasses the practices organizations use to attract, develop, engage and retain the talent needed to drive organizational success. This program offers a solid understanding of the HR skills and competencies required to excel in a career in HR management. The courses emphasize core HR topics that provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Elective courses complement the required core very well and allow you to explore personal interests.
What are the requirements for this degree?
You will need to complete 120 credits in the following areas:
- General education courses: All students are required to complete the university's general education program, which provides a balanced liberal arts foundation.
- Business core courses: This core includes economics, finance, information systems, marketing, organization behavior and business law as well as other business subjects.
- Human resource management courses: This sequence of courses provides the necessary technical knowledge with respect to tools, techniques and concepts.
