Heidi Siegle

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Siegle works for The Honorable Judge Kim Eaton in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Family Division. Siegle's Human Communications degree has helped her to gain experience in oral and written presentation preparation.

Dan Brown (Class of 2004)

Brown has worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and is now a producer for the Levy Insurance Agency representing several insurance companies such as Erie Insurance, AIG and Foremost Insurance. In the next five years, Brown hopes to grow his client base and be one of the top producers in the area. The Human Communications curriculum gave him a chance to work with many different groups of people and collaberate on different tasks. The curriculum has also taught Brown how to be a leader and handle constructive criticism through group work.

Nathan Nacey (Class of 2003)

Nacey is pursuing a master's degree in physical therapy. Within the next couple of years, Nacey hopes to be gaining experience as a liscensed physical therapist. Nacey feels that his Human Communications degree has prepared him for the type of work environment that is in most workplaces today. One of the most important things Nacey learned from his time in the department was to have confidence in his pursuits. Because of his work in the Human Communications department Nacey feels that he has gained the confidence to stand in front of an audience and not be shy or reserved. The aspect Nacey liked the most about the department was the individual attention he was able to receive. He got to know his professors really well and knew that he could count on them for help if he was struggling with something.

Cynthia Lehman (Class of 1991)

After graduating from Shippensburg University with her B.A in Human Communications, Lehman went on to pursue her doctorate at Temple University. She currently has a full-time position in Black Studies at Antelope Valley College in Los Angeles County.  Lehman says, "This major gave me confidence to speak before large and small groups of people.  It also gave me the tools for effective organizaion of material.  My classroom teaching draws upon these skills daily."
