Chemistry Minor

Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes it undergoes. If you have a curiosity about our physical world and a desire to improve the quality of life, consider studying chemistry.

Our chemistry program is approved by the American Chemical Society and prepares students for a wide variety of careers and educational opportunities. Those interested in entering our program can prepare by taking as many courses as possible in science, mathematics, writing and computer skills.

Chemistry-Related Careers

A background in chemistry can lead to lots of opportunities after graduation. Many of our students enter industry, business, or government agencies upon completion of their degree.

The chemistry minor is a great complement to many majors seeing as chemistry-related careers also include management, production, sales and marketing.

Chemistry Minor Requirements

Students interested in completing a minor in chemistry must complete 23-27 credits in chemistry course work. The undergraduate catalog details specific course requirements.

Outside of Class

Students may consider joining Chemistry Club. Participation in activities and services through the club look great on a resume. It’s also a great way to network and create lasting relationships.
