Commitment to Diversity

The Department of Communication and Journalism is committed to making diversity an integral part of its academic program and civic engagement. The department values its learning environment as being warm and welcoming to all students, faculty and staff. The department sustains a shared sense of purpose, core values and respect for diverse cultures, perspectives, backgrounds and experiences. Utilizing resources and personnel, students gain critical thinking skills and understanding of complexities of human interaction within the campus, their local communication and around the world.
